Master Mariner with solid practical experience gained and developed from a diverse and extensive maritime background that spans over forty years, that includes active sea-service under many country flags, in various types of vessels (including cruise, passenger, container, offshore supply) in international trade, to Captain rank, and ashore in ship management and private business practice.
In this career time, seventeen years was with the Australian National Line (ANL) of which nine years was served actively at sea, three years in container terminal and port operations, that included administration, ship cargo planning and stevedoring, and the remaining five years seconded to the Line’s marine management division.
Since 1985, in private practice as a Maritime Consultant and Manager. Principally to specialise in cruise-tourism, passenger-transport and sea-leisure (megayacht market) industries. In this time involved in providing a wide range of services and assistance to shipping in general and yachting related projects worldwide, including: Australia and South Pacific, the USA and Caribbean, Europe and Mediterranean, and particularly Northern Australia, South and South East Asia and Far East regions.
In 2004 formed CNGI (Compressed Natural Gas International Pty Ltd) as a separate consulting business division to additionally specialise in the natural gas energy transport shipping sector – to provide consultancy and management services to marine, and as well land (road and rail), projects. Originally for compressed natural gas (CNG) but later incorporating liquefied natural gas (LNG).
From a long standing avid interest in aviation, in 2006 formed business division, Airship Aviation, to extend business services to, and be at the forefront of, the developing and emerging new generation (heavier than air) airship industry – for passenger and general cargo transportation applications. Providing consulting, asset acquisition, operation management project services. Airship Aviation also provides these project services for Hovercraft and Wing- In -Ground Craft (WIG Craft) types.
